Uruguay is extraordinary, yet remains one of South America's best-kept secrets. While Argentina and Brazil draw millions, this small nation offers something truly unique: uncrowded beaches, world-class gastronomy, and a warmth that makes every visitor feel at home.

We've watched too many travelers miss out on Uruguay's magic simply because good information was hard to find. Scattered blog posts, outdated guidebooks, generic advice: none of it captured the Uruguay we know and love.

So we built Urupedia: the comprehensive, honest, always-current guide we wished existed when we started sharing our country with friends from abroad.
